Redwood Coonhounds

Redwood Coonhounds is located in the beautiful Northern California mountinans, just a few hours north of Sacramento. Hunting with hounds has been in my family for many generations. Most of my time is spent with the dogs in the woods, if not, I'm planning on doing so. Above all is my passion for running hounds and letting them do what they were bred to do. If it wasn't for hounds, I wouldn't hunt. My hounds are mostly ran on Black Bear, but also run on Coon and Bobcat (successfully) on occasion. I also enjoy Bench Showing, Water Racing, Field Trailing, and Nite Hunting at local UKC & Open Events. I prefer a well rounded hound that's the "total package" - from in the woods, to on the bench as well as a good tempermented house dog. I look for dogs that excel in all these categories .
